To become a CareWorks Health Services home care aide (HCA) we require you to have 6 months of experience as a professional caregiver. A high school diploma or GED is not required.
As part of the application process, applicants undergo a vetting procedure, in which they are carefully screened by two federal agencies. Other steps include background, reference, and DMV checks. In addition, applicants submit to a biometric fingerprint scan, TB testing, skills testing, and a 25-point assessment evaluation.
Once an employee of CareWorks, initial training is supplemented by an annual 10 hours of additional training. The monitoring and supervision of each HCA is taken seriously by CareWorks, whose primary goal is each patient’s comfort, safety, and well-being while under the care of CareWorks.
